In “Leo Moon", Susan has given us another powerful representation of a shaman merging with an animal helper to effect healing and change. Wonderfully androgynous, the figure is half-human, half-big cat. Susan had an affinity for lions, which appear often in her work and at least one lion image is hidden in the piece.

Nearly every piece she painted has her ever present moon – Susan once said: "It's almost like a signature. It felt that when I put the moon in, it was finished." Particularly notable in this piece is the use of texture to create the mottling around the central character that is perhaps more suggestive of a leopard than a lion.

"Leo Moon" is limited in edition to one-thousand. Each print is numbered in the margins and blind-stamped to insure authenticity. The image is printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag, Bright White, 310gsm, smooth matte, 100% cotton archival paper, using state-of-the-art archival inks. Each print has full margins.
