$40.00 Painted it 1986, this piece was originally titled "Daughter of the Wolf". In 1988 it was re-named "Reindeer People" as it became the cover of a book of the same name. Like many of her "shamanic" pieces it reveals Boulet's characteristic blending of human and animal, showing a Native American woman protected by a spirit wolf as she, in turn, shelters a child. Please Note: Shipping to continental United States ranges from $8.50 to $13.75 as determined by PayPal.Growing up on a farm, Susan had always been fascinated by and attracted to animals and the close relationship of Native American healers to their animal helpers was immensely attractive to her. There are a number of other characteristic features of her work here, including the beautifully portrayed garment of the woman (one can almost feel the cold it protects against), the detail of the reindeer to the left of the woman's head, the alluring landscape in the background, the beautiful portrayal of the white wolf and a familiar motif of the seven moons spiraling through the imagery.
