"Dragon's Wish - Title unknown"
Medium Date Framed Size Image Size
Oil Pastel/Ink on Artist Board 1977 18-1/2”H x 25-1/2””W 10-5//8”H x 17-3/4”W
This richly colored, elegant dragon is also a result of Susan’s found freedom to imagine the fantasy world in her art as described in “Dragon Frost”. In this piece the dragon gazes into a pearl or crystal sphere, which is a common image found in Chinese art and is one of the oldest and best-known legends in Chinese folklore. In those legends the pearl or crystal sphere is a symbol of wisdom, spiritual energy and power and the dragon represents prosperity and good luck. In another claw it carries the crescent moon which holds deep feminine symbolic meaning. A beautiful and captivating piece.

This original work has been re-framed with an antiqued, custom wood frame. Archival double-matted with linen mats. Acid-free materials throughout and re-glazed with Conservation Clear, Tru-Vue, UV protective glass. Signed by Susan Seddon-Boulet, lower-right. Dated Apr 77.
