| A powerful and beautiful image from Susan’s highly sought after and rarely offered Shaman period works. Through exquisite color and detail, utilizing many of her signature techniques, Susan has created this iconic and finely nuanced piece.
Looking off into the distance the Native American central character contemplates the presence of the sacred and revered White Buffalo. White Buffalo Calf Woman is the core myth of the Plains tribes. It was she who brought to the Lakota-Sioux the Buffalo Calf Pipe, taught them the Seven Sacred Rites and how to walk on Mother Earth in a sacred manner. Before leaving, she told the people that she would return again to restore harmony and spirituality to a troubled world. In current day the birth of a White Buffalo Calf is a re-actualization of that sacred story.

This original work has been re-framed with an antiqued, textured, custom wood frame. Archival triple-matted with suede under mats and a linen top mat. Acid-free materials throughout and reglazed with Museum Conservation, Tru-Vue, UV protective glass. Uniquely signed twice by Susan Seddon-Boulet mid-bottom and lower-right. Dated 1988
